Tessie's Day -- Tessie's Month!

Tessie turned 3 years old today.  We had a fun walk and she chased squirrels and enjoyed playing with her brother Bo!  

She was also featured this month, her birthday month, in a magazine.  A happy birthday month for lil Tess!  And I wouldn't have it any other way as I love to make birthday celebrations a month long rather than just a day!  Jim's bday is coming up in a few days - double the fun double the celebrating!

Thinking about her family tree - she's named after her great grandmother, Geranium.  I loved her great grandmother - she was so sweet!  And her grandmother was named after the breeder's grandmother.

Last Night...

Green Is In...

....Almost St. Patty's Day again.  Parade's are happening today; the excitement is building.  We have snow on the east coast.  I'm meeting a dear old friend tonight.  I'm happy - gotta wear something green.  I was thinking of having an Apple Tini but settling for a green margarita. 

Apple Tini's are fun to have for St. Patrick's Day.  Here is a simple recipe:

Ingredients:

• 2 oz vodka
• 1 oz green-apple schnapps

Preparation:

1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
2. Shake well.
3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. 

In starting on some early spring cleaning and organizing I liked some tips from GOOP.

In thinking on spring cleansing I've been focusing on juices and smoothies.  Friend, Matthew Kenney, and his M.A.K.E are leading the way.  

Try a green juice for St. Patrick's Day...

Try a Matthew Kenney Cranberry Juice or Blueberry Smoothie.

There are some good juices to purchase outside of a juice bar and making your own with a vitamix or juicer such as the Naked Juice line.  Happy cleansing, cleaning, celebrating!

 Bittersweet moment - sad to say bye to my southern home but 

happy to head back to home in the north.

Santa Monica location of the Matthew Kenney brand - M.A.K.E. opened not to long ago.  Great to check out.  And the time of year when it's good to do some spring juice cleansing.  They offer fabulous classes both intensive and long course. Jim and I want to head out to see our friend soon.
