Just got home from “SCHLEPPING” (an arduous journey or procedure) from the grocery store. I take the cart which means take the slow elevator, take escalator and hope cart doesn’t spill out, depend on random kindness to keep subway doors from closing on me or cart, and sometimes help to pull the cart if it gets stuck getting on train or coming up the stairs at home. YEA WHAT FUN! I think there could be a good monologue on all the kinds of schlepping in NYC – they’re probably have one or several. The only consolation is finishing.
